Challenge #21 - 19 Jan 2009 - Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome back to the House Mouse and Friends Challenge! I hope you all had fun producing all those wonderful ATC's last week.

Our challenge this week is a color challenge:

Cameo Coral (a slight peachy pink)
Old Olive (a rich olive green)
Night of Navy (navy blue in its finest!)

I have listed the colors using Stampin' Up! colors, just because that is common on Splitcoast, however, ANY brand that matches closely is fine for the challenge. HERE OR HERE (the second one is perhaps a little truer color) are places to find what they look like so you can match what you have with these. You can also use any neutrals (as in gray and brown to color the Mousies, Hoppers, or Gruffies! - and white or vanilla), but please have some of all three colors on your card somewhere (solid paper, ink, designer paper, embellishments).Have fun with the "challenge"!

We also have a wonderful prize package up for grabs for you this week thanks to our sponsor TheRubberCafe.com. One lucky person will win the House Mouse Stamp Glitter Hearts (so perfect for Valentine's Day) and a jar of Shimmerz Paints in the limited edition color Wintergreen Bling.

The Rubber Cafe
Here is a bit about our sponsor TheRubberCafe.com:

The Rubber Cafe has fantastic prices and low shipping charges (including internationally) on all your stamping needs. We have a large selection of stamps including House Mouse, Happy Hoppers and Gruffies, and also sell stamping accessories and tools including Copic Markers, Shimmerz Paints, Glimmer Mists, and Scor-Pal products.

Here's what our lovely DT have produced and don't forget to check out their blogs for more details!!

I love these colors, ladies....but not together! It took me a long time for these cards (I made 2) and I'm really not happy with either one of them! Feel free to offer some well needed advice on these babies:

I bought some new stamps this week, just to use for these challenges! :-) I didn't have any Gruffies or Hoppies, so I bought one of each. Hobby Lobby has a bunch, and their stamps are 50% off this week... Maybe can get a couple more before week's end! The DT's examples were awesome! Love this challenge site. Glad I found you.

I love these colours together -just had to find an image that the colours would suit as I don't own many HM stamps. I really enjoyed colouring and finishing off this card. Thank you for the challenge!

Thank you for the wonderful challenge. Once I started the colouring and sorted out my embellishments it came together quite well.

Lots of pretties out there again. I struggled a bit with these colors, not real jiggy with what I ended up with, but it's posted.

Great challenge, and it really was a challenge. I love the colors together but guess I don't use them very often.

Used "Mr. Linky". Much easier than typing all that code!

Enjoy, Judi

Great DT cards! I thought of this challenge as real difficult, and I'm still not satisfied with my card. But as time runs out for this weeks challenge, I already posted what I came up with until now on my blog. If you have some ideas, I would love to hear them!
